All-on-4 Same-Day Teeth

Looking to replace missing or failing teeth? All-on-4 same-day teeth may be the solution for you. This innovative treatment option allows patients to have a full arch of strong, permanent replacement teeth placed in a single appointment.

What is All-on-4?

All-on-4 is a tooth replacement method that involves placing 4 dental implants in the jaw to securely support a full set of prosthetic teeth fitted on the same day as the implant surgery. Other dental implant treatments require a long healing time before teeth can be placed. But All-on-4 provides patients with a full non-removable set of natural looking and functioning teeth in just 24 hours.

How does All-on-4 work?

This treatment involves strategic placement of four dental implants into the jawbone, two near the front and two near the back of the mouth. These implants fuse to the bone and serve as permanent anchors for attaching a full arch of prosthetic teeth that same day. Using four strategically spaced implants provides immediate stability for the new teeth..

What are the benefits of All-on-4?

All-on-4 delivers many benefits over traditional implant treatments. It allows patients to restore their smile with teeth replaced in one appointment. All-on-4 also works for those with bone loss in the jaw, avoiding bone grafting. The streamlined approach is convenient, fast, and comfortable. Patients can eat, speak, and smile with confidence again right away with their permanent implant supported teeth.

Who should get All-on-4?

Good candidates for All-on-4 dental implant treatment include those missing numerous or all teeth in an arch needing full reconstruction. Those with failing teeth, deteriorating oral health, or who are unhappy wearing removable dentures may benefit. The jaw must have adequate bone mass and density to allow for proper implant placement. An initial consultation with one of our dentists will determine candidacy.

How long does All-on-4 treatment take?

On the day of treatment, patients are given anaesthesia before the surgeon strategically places the four dental implants, which takes 1-2 hours. Next, the lab-made full arch of prosthetic teeth is secured to the implants for immediate restoration of the smile. Some minor sutures are placed at the implant sites. The entire appointment is usually several hours.

What does it feel like to have All-on-4 teeth?

The full set of replacement teeth may feel different at first compared to your natural teeth. With All-on-4, the prosthetic teeth are securely attached to the implants, so there is no slipping or movement. Any initial discomfort or tightness usually subsides within a couple weeks as you adjust to the restored smile. Your oral surgeon will make sure you are comfortable with the fit before you leave the office on treatment day.

What is recovery like?

Some swelling, tenderness, and bruising are common after surgery but dissipate within a couple weeks. Medication will be prescribed to manage postoperative discomfort. Patients will need to eat soft foods initially. Normal diet and activities can typically be resumed after 6-8 weeks. Full healing takes 2-3 months. Proper oral care and regular dental visits are key to longevity of treatment results.

How do I care for my All-on-4 teeth?

Proper oral hygiene and dental checkups every six months are important for the long-term success of your All-on-4 smile. Brush twice daily using a soft bristle toothbrush and floss carefully around the implant crowns. Avoid sticky, hard or chewy foods that could damage the teeth. Do not use teeth to open packages or crack nuts. Report any pain, swelling or damage promptly to the practice and we shall arrange for you to be seen as soon as possible.

How long do All-on-4 teeth last?

The implants and prosthetic teeth are intended to function like natural teeth for life. With appropriate care and maintenance, All-on-4 smile restorations can last 25 years or longer. The teeth are brushed and flossed just like your own. Choosing All-on-4 means your smile is restored once-and-for-all in a convenient single appointment.

All-on-4 has the ability to transform your smile. Restore confidence in your smile, get in touch with 33 Dental Practice today and embark on your journey to a brighter, long-lasting smile.

COVID-19 update

Many of you will be aware that during the latest Covid 19 update dental practices have been given the green light to re-open the surgery from 8th June. Whilst this is good news, there are a number of procedures that we have being putting in place to make treatment safe for our patients and staff, as we are sure you will appreciate, this is taking some time to set up.

Our intention is, if at all possible to commence opening on the 8th June but this is entirely dependent on our ability to obtain training and appropriate PPE which as you know there is a great shortage of. This equipment will be essential for us to be able to operate.

From 8th- 29th of June we will be prioritising the most urgent of cases including those who have been experiencing problems during this lockdown period. We will contact you directly to arrange an appointment. This period may be extended if required.

Rest assured we are trying our utmost to source this PPE as soon as possible to enable us to extend our treatment further to include fillings, crown/bridge work, root treatments and surgical extractions, scale & polish ect.

We anticipate that it will be several weeks before we will be able to commence these more advanced procedures.

This is a rapidly changing environment which we are adapting to as quickly as we possibly can. We really appreciate your patience and understanding throughout this difficult period and look forward to welcoming you back to the practice soon.
